The seven time Piston Cup winner, the famous race car, Lightning Mcqueen was in the middle of some serious training with his trainer, Cruz and Smokey, Doc's old mentor when something strange and completely unexpected happened. It was night time and they were just racing through the woods with only the moon to guide them when Lightning's wooded surroundings changed completely and his companions had vanished from sight. The really weird and creepy thing about it was that it didn't just happen all at once. Instead, it was a gradual, slow process. First his racing companions got further and further away from him until he could no longer see them. Meanwhile, the forest slowly but surely dissipated all around him. Freaking out, the race car shot off like well a shot going off! Faster and faster he raced along what appeared to be a concrete road forming ahead of him while calling out for his friends. "Cruz! Cruz! Smokey! Where...where are you guys? I can't even see you anymore! Where are you?" he yelled out, clearly panicking. Pretty soon, the forest disappeared altogether only to be replaced by what appeared to be a small looking town of some sort with strange looking architecture.
Unfortunately, Lightning in his panic couldn't see where he was going since he was moving way too fast causing him to crash right into a building and the floors inside must have been waxed recently because the speed demon slid right into a display of souvenirs. "Ack not again!" he cried just as he slid right into the display knocking over all the toys that were once ever so methodically placed neatly and in order. Some of the stuffed animals had landed on him causing the race car to shake them off. Lightning at this point felt very sore from the crash and his mind flashbacked to a similar incident when he had crashed his way into Radiator Springs tearing up the road in the process. Still dazed from the crash, Lightning taking in his new surroundings wondered just where he was. But wherever it was he knew it definitely wasn't Radiator Springs or any other town he had visited for that matter. "Ugh, my roof and my hood and my aching wheels. Just where am I anyway?" he asked out loud to nobody in particular since thankfully there didn't appear to be anybody around. He just hoped nobody saw what he did. Sure he felt bad for the damage he caused to this place, but he also felt very embarrassed about the whole thing too. The worst of it was that he could not believe that he had crashed in much the same way he did back in Radiator Springs and it was just as embarrassing for him now as it was back then! Oh how he wished he wasn't so sore from the crash, so that he could pretty much run away while the getting was still good! Once the local cars start driving in they will no doubt know he was the one that crashed through the building's wall. He couldn't hide that! The hole was way too big! He just hoped the local cars will be in a forgiving mood otherwise he'd likely be punished for this accident. But maybe if he was lucky he will just have to pay a fine. Fines he could handle. He was rich. Plus his insurance should cover all of the damages. What he couldn't handle, however, was public humiliation and physical labor.
