Who am I? Just a conscience!
Introduce yourself
Hey, howdy, hey! The name's Nobu, and I wished upon a star from the past. My other characters include Simba. Alberto and I are so very eager to join the Worlds of Disney circle of life!
Character basics
Character name: Alberto Scorfano
Age: 12 years old
Species: Monstrum mare. Or Sea Monster!
Birthplace: Portorosso's sea, Italy
Movie: Luca
Custom title: The Sea Monster
Why'd you pick this character? Alberto has a shining personality and a cool gimmick. His street smarts of the sea don't translate well into actual street smarts, which is bound to be fun to play with. The sea monster part is also something I am going to have a blast describing and narrating, as it should take me out of my comfort zone. Also, I swear I don't only pick fatherless characters.
Character appearance
Hair description: Light brown curly hair while dry, which transforms into soft, long scales of a bold purpura colour once wet
Facial description/mood/expressions: A slim face with large cheeks describes well his shape, while the piercing blue eyes and the silly, round smile push for a charismatic look that shakes hands with his personality. Pointy teeth and slitted eyes shows are caution-makers when in his aquatic form.
Clothing style: nothing fancy. In fact, he dresses in clothes he literally found floating at sea. Sleeveless tank top of a faded yellow tint, together with saturated brown pants folded up into shorts, held in place by some cheap rope in the place of a belt. Somehow, they seem to dry surprisingly fast.
Body build: has a muscular build for his age, which isn't saying much. His love of swimming, as well as his appetite, make him naturally more sports-oriented than most of the other similarly-aged characters who could be used as a comparison. His tail seems to also be specifically long for a sea monster, as well as his fins look sharper than the average.
Any unique traits (optional): When dry, his scales assume human texture and coloration, snowballing changes when necessary, like on his hair and tail, to transform the blue sea monster into a green-eyed human boy. The changes revert when the skin is wet. The transformation is incredibly fast, and involuntary.
Original character analysis
Personality:
With a smug smile, Alberto confidently speaks about absolutely any subject, especially those he has little to no knowledge about. His word shouldn't be taken seriously, for your and his own safety as he will go through stupid loops without a second thought to prove his conviction. This stubbornness reflects his loyalty: If you have made it to his heart, he will never leave you behind. This does not mean he will put his fins in line to defend the poor and needy. He has an urge to put himself in a leadership role wherever it exists or not and craves attention, be it good or bad. He is traumatized by being abandoned by his family, which explains his dislike of being ignored or proven wrong.
History:
Little is known about Alberto's origins, as it is not often he speaks about his family. Some have managed to piece together that, at a young age, he was abandoned by his dad, who deemed him "old enough" to survive on his own. It is unknown what has happened to his mother. Ever since, he has lived in the Isola del Mare, an island right off the coast of the small fishing town of Portorosso, in Italy. He has lived his days on the island which was known to be haunted by evil sea monsters, or so the humans believe. He stole from ships to acquire trinkets of the dry world for his own entertainment.
He first found his best friend Luca when hunting for sunken trinkets. The naive boy was madly interested in the dry world, of which Alberto knew a bit, and their relationship grew up to the day Luca's parents decided to send him off to the bottom of the ocean to keep him away from the surface. He decided to help his friend go on the run, and they both sought refuge in the human town, disguising themselves as humans.
There, they met one kind human girl, who took them in to live with her dad, a sea monster hunter and fisherman. Together, they vowed to win a competition in the city, each for their own reasons. For Alberto, it was to acquire money, the "useless paper" that could be exchanged for the motorbike of his dreams, a rusted Vespa. However, the plans changed as Luca grew closer to the human, Giulia, and started speaking about going to school instead of exploring the world with him. Moved by envy, revealed himself as a sea monster, terrifying the girl, but instead of getting Luca to reveal himself to her too, he instead denounced Alberto and took the human's side, forcing the exposed monster to run away back to the sea.
The very next day, Luca came to visit him on his island. He was full of guilt for not siding with his friend. The following conversation increases Lucas' motivation to win the competition, so he will fulfill his friend's dream of owning a motorbike. Luca rproceeded by returning alone to the human town and ferociously competed until the very last part of the competition when it started to rain. Knowing he would be exposed in front of the whole town if he came out during the rain, he was helpless until Alberto showed up with an umbrella, motivated by his friend's selflessness. Unfortunately, one of the competitors made him trip, which forced him into the rain instead. Exposed as a sea monster to the entire village, Alberto was sure to have his head be on someone's wall by the end of the evening, as he found himself surrounded and all but captured when Luca decided to expose himself as well to rescue his friend. Running away from the competitors who now hunted them, they managed to win the competition while proving their friendship to each other and to the human girl, foregoing their escape to check if Giulia was alright after she crashed her bike. The girls' father stepped in as they are surrounded by angry fisherman, vowing for them, which is enough to make the village back down.
With that, sea monsters were no longer persona non grata in the fishing village of Portorosso. Luca moved away with Giulia by the end of summer to a big city, to attention school with her, and Alberto stayed with her dad, working with him as a fisherman. Through their fishing and cooking, a strong bond developed between Alberto and this man, who he now calls dad.

RP SAMPLE:
That was when her eyes widened and her mouth went agape, horror-struck as she heard the sea, angry, vivid, and close. The house, which offered her hiding place, sandwiched a couple of feet of sandy stone street between itself and a cliff to the sea. In this instant, she knew she wasn’t safe. She knew that it was foolish to believe she could ever be safe from it. The sound of the waves was deafening, it resonated with her own thoughts. The waves crashed at the shore, sending water spraying all over the cliff. She had to leave. The waves crashed at the shore. She had to step out of that wall. The waves crashed at the shore. She had to get up and run-
With a wet, heavy splash, a figure swam up the wave and jumped over the cliff, landing right between her and the edge. THUNDER; the silhouette was defined under the cold, forsaken flash of the storm. Two large feet, two long arms. Body covered in dreadful scales, dangerous fins, and pointy teeth that made its maniacal grin ever more evident as its blood-thirsty eyes focused on the poor, helpless girl who was paralyzed in place.
One step.
Another step.
The creature was right in front of her, its strong posture unbothered by the cold rain that tried to force it down. The stink of fish was stronger than even the salt in her nose. THUNDER; Its arm rose high above her head; a set of claws reflected the sad pale light just for one instant, before mercilessly striking down…
… and poking her in the shoulder? “Hah! You’re it!”
