Who am I? Just a conscience!
Introduce yourself
Hey, howdy, hey! The name's Leah, and I wished upon a star from Google. My other characters include nobody else yet. Tinker Bell and I are so very eager to join the Worlds of Disney circle of life!
Character basics
Character name: Tinker Bell
Age: A fairy never tells her age! ..... But 22
Species: Fairy
Birthplace: Pixie Hollow
Movie: Peter Pan/Tinker Bell movies.
Custom title: The Sassiest Fairy
Why'd you pick this character? Tink is my fav Disney character. Cute but sassy, fiery but adorable, there's so much to her that's fun to write. I particularly love her original form, where she's so full of flaws and jealousy, but also has her loyalty and friendly side.
Character appearance (try to get at least 2 or 3 sentences for each section)
Hair description: Thick, shiny blonde hair, which is reasonably long, coming down past her shoulders if worn down. Tink usually wears her hair up in a large, neat bun, complete with large bangs that flop about and react with her movements.
Facial description/mood/expressions: Tink has an elfin face, with high cheek bones, a small, slightly pointed chin. She has large ruby lips and big, round blue eyes. Her ears are pointed
Expression wise, exagerration is the name of the game for Tink. Being so small and unable to be understood by humans, Tink relies on her face and body language. Huge smiles, big nods, or alternatively, hugely dramatic pouts as she flounces away, sticking her nose in the air to show disdain, etc. Her expressions are usually backed up by dramatic body language, sometimes even more by her glow, which can turn red and fiery when angry.
Clothing style:Tink's choice of clothing is almost always short minidresses that are, frankly, very skimpy. If she was human sized, some unkind words might be used to describe her fashion. Her clothes tend to be green, but if you asked her, she'd say her favourite colour was 'sparkle'. As long as there's some glitter and sparkle, she's happy. She will, sometimes, wear pants or jackets if its cold, but only under extreme duress.
In Pixie Hollow, she tended to wear outfits made from leaves and other materials available to pixies, but these days she much prefers glittery fabrics.
Her make-up style is red carpet glamour, glossy red lips, sculpted eyebrows and dramatic eyeliner. She has to look het best!
Body build: Tink's build is fairly waifish, with thin arms, and a skinny build. However, she had very wide hips, which Tink tends to be very sensitive about. This gives her an hourglass figure, with reasonably thick thighs that lead down into skinny, thin calves.
Any unique traits (optional): She's a fairy. About three inches tall, with insectoid, transparent wings and a constant golden glow that can turn red when she's angry. Pixie dust usually follows in her wake.
Original character analysis (In your own words and please be thorough)
Personality:
Tinker Bell is both a simple and complex person, mainly due to her range of emotional reactions. Excitable, curious, kind, cheerful and adventurous, she is also shallow, vain, spoiled, brash and jealous. Due to her small size, she only tends to be able to experience one emotion at any one time, and feels it completely, leading to her being very overly emotional, and having very 'large' reactions to any situation. She can be pouty, playful and sassy, and tends to always be on the look out for fun and mischief.
This makes Tinker Bell's goals in life rather shallow, as they are usually in the immediate sense to do whatever satisfies her current emotional state. However, she does have the long time dream of getting back to Pixie Hollow one day, although she has somewhat matured past the need to be a good Tinker fairy, and enjoys her new life causing trouble and living a life of adventure.
She's an utter groupie of Peter Pan, wanting to be his favourite person and follow him everywhere, but can very easily be sidetracked and even switch sides if the right mood takes her, she's so dominated by her emotions.
History:
Born, as fairies are, in Pixie Hollow by the laughter of a child, Tinker Bell was designated to be a Tinker Fairy from a very young age. Put to work as a tinker, it was Tinker Bell's destiny to spend her time fixing pots, pans and other, common utensils for human kind.
Unfortunately, for Tink, this seemed incredibly dull, and she was a rather inventive, talented fairy. She was also incredibly emotional; being so small and full of feelings that she could often only process one feeling at once, and this combination led to her having a particular talent for causing mischief and getting in trouble with the other fairies, as she'd often try and invent or build new tools and gadgets with disastrous results, no matter how often she was warned or advised not to.
Despite all of this, she made many friends and had many adventures during her time in Pixie Hollow, including finding a long lost sister, and saving the Hollow on more than one occasion (although often from disasters of her own making). She also met her first human, a young girl, birthing a life long obsession with humans and humanity, who she desperately wished to be more involved with.
After a particularly bad invention of her's backfired and caused a massive accident with Pixie Hollow's pixie dust production, Tinker Bell ended up dosed in fairy dust, giving her a continuous glow and a trail of dust where ever she flew. Such an upset led to her exile from Pixie Hollow, which left Tinker Bell aimless.
Travelling from realm to realm, she eventually came to Neverland. Once there, she crossed paths with the being known as Peter Pan, and his 'lost boys', who instantly appealed to her. To them, Tinker Bell was a magical source of inspiration, and she found by sprinkling them with pixie dust, she could grant them the ability to fly. Peter was always ready for adventure, or to cause trouble, which appealed to Tinker Bell's mischievous nature, and she grew to embrace causing chaos for the purpose of fun, her limited emotional range meaning that if something amused her or made her happy she was thrilled. She loved the attention she got from the Lost Boys as well, but grew to resent any girls or women who came to the group, as they would divert attention away from her, and ended up suffering from particularly bad jealousy.
When Tink met Wendy Darling, her jealousy got the better of her, and she soon found herself trying various schemes to get rid of the girl. Although she eventuallysaw the error of her ways when she realised she could hurt Peter, she remained immensly jealous of Wendy.
However, upon meeting Wendy's daughter many years later, Tink found herself facing death, and realised whata terrible fairy she had been. Determined to change her ways, she helped Jane, and put her jealousy of Wendy behind her.
Now she's trying her hardest to be a better person, but still struggling with her emotions.
Ambitions:
Tink's main ambition in life is simple; to find adventure! Tink lives for excitement, and is always looking for the next, big, fun quest.
She would, however, like to get back to Pixie Hollow at some point, as she misses her home.
She also wants to be reunited with Peter Pan and continue to adventure with him for the rest of time.
Strengths & abilities:
Pixie Dust: Tink's body naturally produces pixie dust, which can grant other people and objects the ability to fly. Her body produces this in such large amounts at times it trails behind her or shakes off her body in the form of golden glitter.
Flight: Tink can fly, thanks to the wings on her back. Despite her small size, she is very fast when flying, similar to a small insect, and can fly to considerably high heights, including over the clouds.
Small size: Only three inches tall, Tink can fit places many can't, often will go unobserved, and can be very difficult to catch.
Inventive: As a Tinker Fairy, Tinker Bell can fix and repair many objects, and often comes up with inventions to make her life easier.
Flaws:
Emotional: Tink is ruled by her emotions, and given that she can only feel one at once, she is often very overwhelmed by them and ends up acting on them even when it's a bad idea or causes problems for her.
Weak: Tink only has the physical strength related to her build; meaning she has the strength of a waif... who's three inches tall. As such, she can't open doors or draws, she can't lift most human sized objects, and she can easily get trapped somewhere.
Cannot be understood by humans: Tink CAN talk, but to humans or bigger animals, her voice comes out only as the ringing of bells. Fairies can understand her, but not humans.
Bad Judge of Size: Tink may be small, but she's a horrible judge of her own size. She often gets stuck trying to squeeze through tiny gaps too small for her.
Likes:
Adventure: Tink loves excitement and adventure. She loves the idea of having adventures with those she cares about, and lives for the excitement.
Fun: Of course, everybody likes fun, but for Tink it's her reason to exist. She's always looking to have fun and make herself happy.
Mischief: Tink loves harmless pranks and being silly, and will quite often like to prank and tease others, and laugh at the result.
Attention: As vain as they come, Tink ADORES being the centre of attention. She wants people to always be paying attention to her.
Dislikes:
Being Ignored: If you want to see Tink pout furiously, just ignore her for a few minutes. She HATES being ignored, or other people taking attention away from her. Particularly if they're a girl taking away Tink's attention.
Getting Dirty: At heart, Tink is a massive girly girl, and she hates anything that might ruin her appearance. Particularly dirt and mud.
Pirates: Tink hates pirates. She thinks they're smelly and mean and she hates them, particularly the trouble they cause the Lost Boys and her.
Fears:
Being Forgotten/Not Believed In: Somebody not believing in Tink could in fact kill her. But being forgotten is even worse. Tink wants to always be remembered and loved.
Hated by Peter Pan: Tink knows she can be a bad person sometimes, but she's terrified of Peter seeing it and no longer liking her.
Spiders: You try dealing with spiders when you're three inches tall.
Anything to add?:
I intend to still write out what Tink is saying, even though I know others won't be able to understand her.
RP SAMPLE:
PAST TENSE ONLY. MUST BE ABOUT THE CHARACTER FOR WHOM YOU ARE APPLYING.
Tinker Bell was not happy. Ever since Wendy had shown up, she felt pushed aside. What was another girl even doing in Neverland? They were the Lost BOYS, not the Lost PEOPLE. Tink was the girl of the group! Everybody knew that!
And then there was the way that Peter looked at her. He never looked at Tink like that! And Tink had been by his side for years! Eugh, it was infuriating!
She'd flown away from the hideout, and was stood on a flower on the coastline. The more that she thought about it, the more frustrated she got, until she kicked the pollen in the flower centre with frustration. Unfortunately, the pollen stems turned out to be quite sturdy to a creature Tink's size, and she ended up grabbing her foot with a yelp (or tinkle) of pain, before falling on her backside and folding her arms in a furious sulk.
A moment passed, and she looked out over the sea. She saw Hook's ship floating there. She bet if Hook knew where the hideout was he'd take care of Wendy. It was just a shame nobody had told him.
And then the idea entered her head.
With a smile at her genius, she flew to the nearest white flower. She tried pulling a petal from it with all of her might, but the flower defeated the tiny fairy. Changing plan, she scouted the forest floor for a fallen white petal, found one, and plucked it up, before flying for Hook's ship.
Glowing brightly as always, even at her size, Tink was easy to see coming, but she waved the petal like an improvised white flag, to try and symbolise she came in peace.
"Hey! Hello! Captain Hook guy?" she called our, but her voice was only the ringing of tiny bells to hunan ears at a distance. Nevertheless, she spotted Hook on the deck, and flew right in front of him, waving the flower petal in surrender.
"Hey! You! Yes, you!" she called out, her tiny voice just ringing. She flew closer, hands on her hips with frustration at not being understood. She was aware the other pirates seemed to be drawing swords...
What was that word Peter used whenever he'd play pirates? Oh, right.
"Um, parlay?" She said as loudly as she could right in front of Hook's nose. Of course, her voice just rang out as bells. With no choice, she just waved her makeshift white flag again, to try and get her message across.
