Robin carefully made his way through the crowd, hoping to blend in. That wasn't the easiest thing for him to do here, being a fox wearing clothes and carrying a bow and arrow on his back but he wasn't the only curious looking character here at least. Taking gaurded glances around, he studied his surroundings with wide eyes. He had never seen so many strangers in one place before nor had he been to such a marketplace. Stands held just about everything you could ever want to find in a market. Fruits and vegetables of all sizes.
Ducking slyly behind a stand of large watermelons, Robin felt much safer. He would very much like to learn more about this new world around him, but he would feel better doing that from a place where he wouldn't be noticed. You could never know who your enemies could be in a place like this. Robin was very amazed by the many different colors and costumes the people wore. He was mesmerized, his jaw hanging slack slightly.
Cricket.
Robin snapped back into reality. What was that??
Cricket, Cricket
He wheeled around, trying to find where that strange noise was coming from. He didn't like it, he didn't like it one bit at all. It was very hard to gather information when there was strange chirping going on. Frowning, Robin sighed, turning his black eyes back on the market place.
CRICKET!
Alright, that was it! In one swift movement, the fox withdrew his bow, pointing it around trying to find the owner of the sound. All was perfectly still and silent.
"Robin ol' boy, I think you're going more absurd every day now..." Robin muttered to himself, frowning with a sigh. He turned forward once again.
....Cricket.
So it wasn't just his mind playing tricks on him! Wheeling around, Robin turned and pointed his arrow, and finally met the face of his chirping rival. It was a bug, no bigger than his pinky finger. A simple little cricket. It grinned smugly up at Robin and chirped again, laughing. Robin's eyes narrowed. So this was the cause of his annoyance. Groaning he tried to ignore the devious little bug when suddenly right in his ear the cricket sounded.
Cricket! Cricket! Cricket! Cricketttt!
Robin shoved his bow forward so quickly it fired, the arrow streaming through the air with a hissing noise and hit the stand across the way, the manager looking very shocked. Robin quickly ducked, glaring at the bug once again.
"Look what you made me do!" The cricket only laughed again. Robin wasn't used to being laughed at right to his face. It was a new experience, one he certainly didn't like. Lunging for the cricket, the stand collapsed at the force of Robin colliding into it, the watermellons tumbling to the ground, splashing their red juice everywhere. Robin stood, revealed to the world, his mouth hanging open before he smiled sheepishly and waved.
"....Ello'."
