In a different place, in a different time, different people around me...
(This thread sort of goes back a few days to Cinderella's first day in Disney Land/Worlds of Disney, soo ... just a different time frame by a few days xP)
Shooting onto the hard cobblestone pathway that lead to numerous rides and gift shops, Cinderella had befallen into a brand new world, filled with blinking lights and fast attractions, also filled with loud mouthed people who dressed much differently from herself!
Why, just a few minutes ago Cinderella was dancing with her Prince Charming in the Castle of Dreams at the Kingdom's celebration ball! The newly wed princess was so joyous and happy, dancing with the prince of her dreams, to soon be pulled away in a swift wind, appearing face down in a new, strange area.
Pulling herself from the dirt-ridden ground, the princess brushed off the front of her dress casually. My, did she look strange compared to all the people who were dressed so casually. What an odd place this was.
Her eyes darted about the area around her, spinning in a rush of confusion, anxiousness and terror. It was just dusk, only an hour until nightfall, maybe a quarter to eight. The sun was just on the verge of setting ... There was a tall castle that stood over some of the park attractions, and it looked very familiar. Perhaps it was her new home! Maybe she was just blown away by the wind?
But, the feeling was so odd. It was as if she had been asleep for a dreadfully long time, and then awoken with a "thump!" in this strange area.
This wasn't delightful at all!
Clutching onto her dress, it slowly began to sparkle and shine into her old brown rags! Grabbing the side of her face, she looked down at her newly formed attire. How could this be happening?
What a nightmare!
Quickly running down the cobblestone path, a large clock chimed throughout the land. It was eight o' clock. Ignoring the loud chiming, she kept running briskly throughout the streets. Running further down, she spotted a woman who looked strangely like Lady Tremaine, her step-mother! Letting out a frightened squeak she darted in the other direction. Sadly, the "Lady Tremaine" she had spotted was a costumed character, a part of the faux magic of this odd world.
Running past many gift shops, she stopped in the center of Adventureland, a fork in the road. Quite tired, and very, very confused, she slowly drooped to a park bench, dropping herself to the ground, burying her face in her arms on the bench, not sure whether to sob or to wonder on to find the castle. She did neither, and slowly drifted to sleep.
