Mulan's eyes closed a bit as she reached up and rubbed gently at her almond shaped eyes.
It was horribly hot, it wasn't just the heat but the humidity she supposed. It reminded her of the rainy season how when it didn't rain how horribly hot everything would get. She sighed, as she rubbed the back of her neck, her eyelashes caressed her cheeks and the young woman swallowed hard.
Silky hair hung against her gentle shoulders, part of her wanted to tie it up. Birds were singing and she glanced over at a lion that was carved into the tree. Rubbing its head with her gentle hand she murmured to herself. "It's a good thing you're not real."
Or maybe he was. Maybe the tree was a tree of guardians. Her hand retracted as she decided to show the great tree some respect. "Sorry to offend," she mumbled beneath her breath just in case.
It was too hot for her uniform, the front hung open and exposed the cream colored undershirt she had beneath it. A large plastic cup filled with water was beside her and she snatched it up as she drank. Someone had left it behind so she washed it out and filled it up.
It was strange, wherever she was at and she was immediately drawn to the Tree. The straw stuck in her mouth and she downed some more water. The day was almost done, night would fall soon and she would have to find some place so stay safe for the evening. She needed some food as well, she had no money on her and she wasn't a common thief. Perhaps a bit of a liar but not a thief at all. Fanning herself up she tied her uniform's top around her loosely.
Leaning on the tree she licked at her plump lips. Maybe she should sleep first and then worry about food she wasn't too hungry yet. Drinking some more water her eyes closed again, she needed her wits about her. Maybe, she stretched out like a cat. She should simply sleep along side of the guardian's and their tree. Mulan mentally laughed at the thought, it was like no tree she had ever seen before. And it felt strange too.
Wherever she was it was certainly strange.
