Kiara stretched her back and front legs, giving a mighty yawn and shook herself trying to wake up. Somehow she’d managed to find shelter from a storm that had brewed up and swept through what was left of the Parks. She’d seen the destruction to a few of the places and wondered how such a thing could have happened...
Moving out from what was left of a rooftop to someone’s house, she surveyed the mess in front of her. Chaos scattered the landscape, debris littered everywhere, the place needed a cleanup, but it would most likely take days, weeks, maybe even months to get done.
“What happened here,” she whispered softly. “Whatever could have taken away all the fun.” She heard the sound of a buzzard circling overhead, looking for food down below and Kiara felt her own stomach give a bit of a grumble. It had been a while since she’d eaten or hunted, not having seen anything to eat for a day or two.
“I need to find something,” she said and sniffed the air. “Or someone...” She sniffed again and closed her eyes before opening them and taking off at a run as she ran through the streets to the entrance of what was once the most enchanted place on Earth.
Finally catching a sent she moved towards it... it smelled like bread, certainly not fresh, but it was food. Glancing at the collapsed structure of what was had indeed been a bakery, she moved towards it cautiously, stepping onto the wood and feeling it creak under her weight.
“Unstable,” she said with a sigh, and her ears lowered. “This wont do.” Suddenly her ears perked up at a noise and she glanced around wildly. Who was here?
“Hello?” she called, taking a few steps. “Is anybody out there?”
