Getting used to this strange new world, wasn't something that was coming very easily for young Violet. She was used to being a loner, yet at the same time, it felt strange to be isolated from her family like this. She truly missed them... even Dash, though she would never openly admit that much. At least they understood her. Here, there were only strangers prone to giving her odd looks for a whole variety of reasons. Princesses and other royalty found her strange for being in a much different attire then themselves, others thought her to be some kind of witch after observing her powers in action. Some even acted as though they had never seen a teen-aged girl before!
Oh how ironic! It seemed that just when she started to feel as though she was finally beginning to fit in with her peers back at school, she had somehow landed right back at square one. She had never felt so alone in the whole thirteen years of her life. The only familiar face she had managed find, was that of Edna Mode, the woman who had designed her super suit and they had never really spoken to any extent in the past. The only reason that Violet knew her, was because of the friendship the woman shared with her parents.
Well, when all else failed, there wasn't anything left to do, but continue her exploration of this new world. Already she had seen the length of Main Street U.S.A. along with the gorgeous castle at it's end. It was all rather curious and she couldn't help but wonder what other sort of other oddities lingered around the enormous park. The whole place seemed to give her the surreal feeling, that she was caught in the middle of some bizarre fairy tale.. a fairy tale that had some pretty dark plot twists involved. Hmm.. but if not such a genera of literature, then why all the stunning princesses and devastatingly handsome princes wandering about? And didn't fairy tales usually have happy endings?
Eventually, her idle travels had led her right into the heart of liberty square. For a moment, she was prepared to think that this particular area offered nothing any more special that what she had already seen during her wanderings, though the site of a eerie looking mansion looming just beyond a rusty iron gate had grasped her attention quite firmly. Almost instinctively, her slender legs began to carry her in that direction, stopping only when the gate was close enough for her to close her small hand around one of the bars. Her wide eyes peered up at the massive structure in awe.. wondering why such a dark place would reside in an otherwise cheerful fantasy type atmosphere.
Eventually, her gaze fell upon a creaky wooden sign just beyond the gate that read 'The Haunted Mansion' in spooky gold lettering. "Haunted Mansion?" Violet questioned nobody in particular, with her eyebrow raised in an incredulous manor. Well the place certainly looked the part, but Violet was hardly a believer in that sort of realm of the paranormal.
