A thin white ibis stared at her. The tiny bird's long red legs stretched out as the funny creature strut forward. Fa Muln was fascinated, she'd never seen a "stork" like it before. It was so tiny, so thin! Her ebony silk hair hung against her cheeks as she saw the funny bird pick at the ground.
Storks were lucky and she supposed she needed luck. A a young woman by herself in a strange place she had to keep on her toes. It wasn't as though she couldn't defend herself because she could but it was always good to be on guard.
The bird stared at her before it swept its bright red beak on the concrete ground and then took off. "Ah," Mulan stared wide eyed and curious. With the thin white bird gone she felt almost sad. It had been standing there for quite some time. She noticed it because of its stillness.
People walked past the Chinese girl who slowly brought herself up as she started to walk. She was fairly confused, which was a feeling she hated. Mulan liked having a plan or at least a general idea of what she was doing. But it was so hard to have an idea if one didn't know where they were.
The sun was setting and Mulan wondered on where she would go. She couldn't just fall asleep on the street. Hero or no it was foolish, her stomach growled and she placed her dollish hand over it. She was hungry. Reaching for her dark green sash she tightened it around her thin waist.
There was no time to worry about food and besides, someone might be able to tell her where she was. It was getting dark, and she ducked back towards a boardwalk. Her black shoes pounded gently on the ground as she sighed.
It overlooked a river and she stared out at it, a huge white river boat lazed along the river gently. Perhaps, she was in no danger, she thought to herself as her almond shaped eyes started to close. Leaning forward she crossed her arms as she leaned onto the wood bridge like structure.
Everybody seemed so happy.
Fa Mulan glanced behind her as people above her walked along the concrete street. The land she was in looked strange. She'd never saw such structures before and they looked oddly beautiful to her. A stretlight connected to the bridge started to light up and she jumped back, surprised.
