Night time in this place was much more peacful than day. Kopa stayed near the shops as he walked around to see the strange new places. Being stepped on so many times just that morning was enough. And the feeling of newness was mutual between him and the dominating two-legged creatures that cover the grounds. As he looked around and observed the people and the places and structures, the people that pass by look at him.
Kopa then felt different; he was hungry. He sighed and sat down next to a gift shop's entrance door. Just then a lady holding the hand of a girl came out the door. Kopa jumped at what he saw was a miniatrue sized version of the lady, he had no idea the girl was still a young child like he was still a young cub. "Lion King!", The young girl announced in delight as she tugged her mom's dress with her unheld hand.
She smiled at the confused cub. But Kopa's curiosity took over and slowly came closer to the girl and sat down in front of her with a shy smile. His shoulders hunched over his head, and his ears firmly low. Kopa was feeling shy as he looked at the girl's eyes. And yet, he felt comfort. The mother, who was certain Kopa was a "Disney Character" allowed her daughter to touch his nose.
The warmth of her palm's soft skin made Kopa purr the way lion cubs did. Excited to hear Kopa's content the girl laughed and hugged Kopa. FLASH! The mother took a snapshot of the moment and Kopa was wide awake. "Time to say goodbye to the little cub, darling!", said the mother as she reached for her daughter's right hand. The girl a bit disappointed let go reluctantly as she gave one slow gentle wipe of her palm on Kopa's furry head. And the girl and her mother went on their way.
Kopa's vision being restored, he looked on at the two as he realized they were leaving. Saddened, he lowered his head as he watched on. But then he noticed a smell, he looked down and between his two paws was something that looked and smelled tempting. The smell was nothing he's ever taken a whiff of before, and it was soft inside, but it's shell was ruffled and crispy, and it felt warm. He wanted to put it in his mouth. Out of hunger, Kopa licked it then pulled it up into his mouth whole. It tasted sweet, and it was crunchy soft.
Kopa loved it! He smiled and he wanted more. His taste buds have never felt so tingly before, and the taste was whetting his appetite. He just had to get some more, so, hunger driven, Kopa left the safety of the shops and went into crowds of people as he followed tempting smells of mobile carts. His running about caused quite a commotion amongst young visitors who wanted to meet him. Families laughed and watched the cub, as he runs pass by, sometimes he'd feel palms touching him, attempting to pet him.
Kopa kept his tail under his belly and close, to make sure it doesn't get stepped on.
