charrie basics.[/ul]
age: Just a kitten
species: Feline
birthplace: The streets of New York
movie: Oliver and Company
title: We two can be good company.
why: Growing up, I watched Oliver and Company obsessively. Oliver was always one of my favorites - he seemed so sweet, so simple, like he wore his heart on his sleeve. Even though he was alone on the streets, he still continued to only want to love and be loved.

charrie appearance[/ul]
facial description/mood expressions: Oliver has large, triangular, chocolate brown eyes that show great range of emotion. A large tuft of hair on the top of Oliver's head sometimes hangs down and covers one of his eyes. With a simple raise of his eyebrows, Oliver finds it simple to convey surprise, or really any emotion.
Oliver has a reddish-brown nose, one that he wrinkles when he either smells something good to eat (as if Dodger has stolen more hot dogs!), or when he's thinking too hard. Oliver is very dramatic with his facial expressions, and when he smiles it spreads out from his mouth to his nose to his eyes.
clothing style: Oliver, as a street cat, usually goes without any kind of clothing. Jenny gave him a light blue collar that hugs his neck tightly, and he adores it, even though the dogs give him grief about being a pampered house cat.
body build: Oliver is a very lean cat, although he does gain a pound or two when he's with Jenny. He is always thinner, however, when out and about with Dodger and the crew. His hair makes him seem a little larger than he really is, though.

original charrie analysis. (everything must be in your own words! please be thorough.)[/ul]
Oliver very much lives with his heart on his sleeve. As every creature is, Oliver is capable of a wide array of emotion - however, he shows it very freely. Oliver never attempts to hide his emotions. Every one knows what he is feeling while he is feeling it.
Extremely loyal to his friends and those that he loves, Oliver will fight for any of those close to him until the very end. He's a feisty little feline, defending himself and others whenever they need it. There's a whole lot of attitude wrapped up in the little package that is Oliver. Sadly, he doesn't pack a whole lot of punch - often he ends up being very strongly opinionated, but lacking the ability to do anything himself.
history: Oliver does not remember his mother, or his father. He barely remembers his brothers and sisters, although he is slightly jealous that they were adopted and he was washed away onto the streets.
He really isn't all that mad about it though, because that's how he met Dodger. Dodger and Oliver collaborated to steal hot dogs from Louie, and when he tried to get away without sharing the spoils with Oliver, Oliver followed him back and found Fagin and the crew, who quickly adopt him. Fagin owed money, a LOT of money, to a man named Sykes, and that's why he and the dogs engaged in so much petty larceny.
Soon after, Oliver was adopted again - this time accidentally found by a sweet rich girl named Jenny. Much to Jenny's poodle Georgette's chagrin, the two became great friends - however, Dodger and gang "rescued" Oliver, unwittingly taking him away from a home he'd grown most fond of.
When Fagin discovered that a rich family had adopted Oliver, he takes him for ransom and sends a map to Jenny, with which she succeeds in getting lost. Fagin, feeling bad, gives Oliver back to Jenny. Jenny is kidnapped by Sykes to get the money that he is owed by Fagin.
A rescue mission ensued, and Jenny was returned home, Oliver in tow. Nowadays, Jenny keeps Oliver during the week, and Fagin, and Co. get him on the weekends. Oliver wouldn't want it any other way.
Jenny has made certain that, now, Fagin, Dodger, and the crew are allowed in her home whenever they are in need of a place to stay or get together, especially during the week when Jenny only lets Oliver out of her sight long enough to go to school.

what makes this character unique: He's such a simple character, and yet so endearing. Of all the characters I had to choose from, he was the one that I remembered loving most as a child. He was sweet, but feisty. Oliver is a living contradiction, and one I can relate to.
RP SAMPLE: ----
Oliver pranced happily through Jenny's house, reaching her room and jumping up on her bed. The young girl was still fast asleep, and Oliver's tag jingled as he walked up the length of her bed. Rubbing his nose along her face, Oliver's sole intent was to awaken Jenny. The girl giggled lightly as a rough feline tongue ran across her cheek.
She sat up slowly, and Oliver's mouth widened into a yawn as did hers. "Well, good morning, Oliver."
Oliver purred loudly, knowing that the human girl couldn't understand him. Many humans could understand animals - if they listened hard enough. Fagin, for example. Sure, he didn't know exactly what was being said, but he always knew what Oliver was trying to say.
He truly loved Jenny, he did. Sometimes he just wished she would listen.
The girl moved out from underneath her blankets, sitting cross-legged atop her bedspread, with Oliver nestled in her arms.
"So, Oliver, what would you like to do today?" Jenny flicked his nose, and he cocked his head to the side, just as curious at the answer as she was.
