charrie basics.[/ul]
age:17
species:Human
birthplace:Small village in China
movie: Mulan
title:
"A girl worth fighting for"
why: Well I picked Mulan simply because she is my favourite Disney character and she has been ever since I was younger. She doesn't conform to the girl stereotype, Mulan is different and isn't afraid to s how it. She is strong too especially since she sighed up for the army. I highly value her for being unique, since China was strict and woman not highly thought of expect to get married and uphold honour. She isn't your typical girl that's for sure.

charrie appearance[/ul]
facial description/mood expressions: Mulan has very unique features with her beautiful delicate face with upraising eyes, typical of a Chinese beauty. It can be enhanced or worsened by make-up. She hates it, the white stuff that makes her look like a ghost and unnatural red lip paint. Mulan looks to look natural so she hasn't touched the stuff since she pursued a different career. Her expressions are somewhat soft at times though when she's upset, she can clearly show you with the pouting of her lips.
clothing style:Her style has varied over the years but she'll stick to the one style for now. She likes to keep things simple, a simple basic pastel coloured Chinese style dress, something that she could easily move in. Those long dresses she had to wear before were awful. And constricting, she could not breathe at all. Not to mention to flashy. And that just isn't her.
body build: She's fairly small at about 5'4"ft, petite and probably a healthy weight with her trim figure. She has been taking to training regularly, building up her strength. And so far it is working, she can already feel herself slightly stronger.
any unique traits (optional) : Nothing really apart her silk olive skin tone and red lips. They are quite full and can be en chanced with make-up, though she tends to stray away from that. She also has a small mole on her neck that she has always hated though is not that noticeable.

original charrie analysis. (everything must be in your own words! please be thorough, about 2 sentences)[/ul]
Another thing this girl, that's she's not at all quiet or demure. It's quite the opposite really. Mulan isn't afraid to speak her mind, which gets her intoalot of trouble. It's hard sometimes to keep her mouth, the truth just spills out before she has a chance to think, a fatal flaw of hers. Saying what she feels just comes naturally, lying has always been difficult especially when she to pretend to be a soldier, clearly one of the hardest things she had to do. Mainly because she's so clumsy, her feet just trip over invisible objects. She can be clumsy in speech to, when put under immense pressure.
Despite this, she is strong. Strong willed and very determined, giving up is never an option. No matter the challenge she will do anything to surpass any obstacle. Her newly found courage can see her through almost anything she wills against. Her strong sense of adventure as always pushed her aside from the other timid girls. She isn't like them, unique in very manner.
history: Mulan's life started out normal in ancient China. Born to two loving parents and their only child, she had a happy childhood though her father was away most time up until she was three when he had to retire from the army due to ill health. She always looked up to her father, Fa Zhuo. He was the one who told her stories of warriors fighting fierce battles and magical tales about dragons. He also told her war stories, something she listened to intensely, with both her ears open. To her, he was her hero, her idol. Even when he came back from the Imperial Army worse for wear, he still was her hero, no doubt about that. She was closer him than to her mother, who loved nothing more than to prim and preen her daughter, make her value the importance of being a woman.
This was something she distasted. Even growing up, Mulan would rather play dragons than fuss around with dolls or tea parties. Mulan was a tomboy, never a girlie girl. And what was so hard about growing up, because females had to act a certain way. Or they would not bring honour to their family. This was something she cared about too much to ignore. So, bottling up her inner self, she just had to get on with it. Being taught manners, dressing in fancy dresses, it wasn't her but if it was going to bring her family honour why should it matter?
Getting married to someone whom she did not know that well was next on her next. It was said to bring honour to her family, so that's what she did. All those painful lessons in becoming polite women took its toll on her. She became messing up and coming on late for her lessons. It was just too much, and quite frankly she could not care less. It wasn't until one infamous trip to the matchmakers to make her a so called 'bride' that made her. Being the clumsy and graceless women that she was, it was such a screw up, she was told she would never become a bride, never uphold the Fa family name.
Depressed and saddened, things couldn't get any worse until later that day. Some news had broken out, terrible news at that. The Huns had started to invade, forcing the Emperor to send out conscription notices to every family. Having no son, Fa Zhou was forced to join the fight despite his old age and disability. His daughter was outraged, fury ran through her veins. How good they tell her father to fight when it was very likely he'd be killed. She didn’t want this to happen. Begging and pleading with her beloved father did not work. He was adamant on going.
This left her heartbroken. How would she cope without him? It was far too much to bear. Seeing her father struggle as he practised, left in her pieces, it was hard to watch. There was nothing she could do. Or was there? Spotting her father's armour, she had a brainwave. Dangerous and reckless, this could cost her life. But to keep her father away from danger, it was all worth it. She went to the temple to pray before doing a drastic action; cutting her hair. Shifting it up into ponytail she ran to change into his armour, leaving her former self behind. Running into the dark night on her horse, she had no idea what was in store.
Pretending to male was hard, she had no idea how long she could keep this up for. Hopefully just enough till this war was over. On her way to camp she meets Mushu, a small dragon, her so called guardian. Telling her to pluck up her courage, they entered the camp, her new identity as 'Ping' taken now hold. Things didn't go swimmingly to start off with. It was harder than she thought to keep up this facade; her strength was no way near the current captain Li Shang. He was a ruthless captain, working them hard. Not that they did well infact he was almost ashamed of his platoon. They couldn't do anything right. Shang was so fed up with Mulan's poor attempts; he was ready to kick her out. Until she proved herself, using her mind and inner strength she managed to retrieve the arrow from the pole. He was impressed, as was the rest of the soliders. So much so, it inspired them to work harder.
With a much better platoon, the captain was content. But Mushu on the other hand was not. He wanted to become a guardian again so much he forged a note from the general for them to meet at the pass. On their way, they discovered the Imperial Troops had all been slaughtered. It was so horrific; Mulan could not help but look on helpless as Shang grieved for his loss of his father. Sure Shang was tough but she couldn't help feel for him. He was truly nice deep down, she could tell. They headed up the mountain to inform the Emperor when something stopped them in dead in their tracks. It was Shan Yu and the Huns. And they were ridiculously out numbered. They fired off their cannons till one was left, which Mulan courageously used to cause an avalanche to bury them. It took just a glance to the mountain to realise this idea and it worked! Well almost as Shan Yu manages to quickly take a strike at her before being covered in snow. It hurt, but it was nothing, she thought. The avalanche was about to send Shang over the cliff till she used her quick thinking and the help of her team to save him. After the initial shock, looking into his eyes, she was relieved he was alive. He thanked her for her courage, and was slightly surprised. But she didn't get much chance to think when her wounds get the better of her.
Waking up, to see Shang's face she was happy, though his look was not. It was more of shock and utter disrespect. Her secret was out and she knelt down in terror. The punishment for high treason in the army was death. Seeing the pain in his eyes, she felt nothing but guilt, she had failed her family. By some miracle, she was spared but was banished from ever speaking to them again. As they sulked off to the Emperor, Mulan could not help but feel disappear. It was all her fault and her father would not be happy. She had ruined everything. On her way home something startles her. The Huns had reappeared from the snow, heading for the Imperial city. Despite knowing he wouldn't believe her; she raced after Shang and the troops.
At first they didn't listen. It wasn't until Shang saw the Huns for his very own eyes that they decided to help Mulan. Time was running out, they had to save the Emperor. With all her courage and determination she came up with small plans that helped to stall him until she was standing on the roof with him. A quick plan, helped by Mushu of course, was put into action as she got him stuck to the ground as Mushu helped to send a firework in his path, causing him to eventually explode into his death. Overcome with relief, the whole city was in shock. How could such a monster be stopped by a girl? , everyone thought. As the Emperor summoned her forward, she was racked with guilt as he listed off her treason. But the end surprised her. It shocked her to the core as he thanked her for saving China, the whole city bowing in their gratitude, even uptight Shang.
The events before her had been so daunting, but worth it. Finding her strength, she grew as a person. Rushing home with the sword of Shan Yu and the crest of the Emperor as gifts of honour, finally, she had done what she thought she could never do. Embraced in her father's warm welcome, he affectionately told her that gifts of honour didn’t matter, because having her for a daughter was the most important thing he could have. Overwhelmed by the whole events, she was almost brought to tears. At last, she found herself.
In the coming months, she became close to Shang. He was always there for her, whether he acted stubborn or not. He was a good listener and she grew to like him as did he. It wasn't too long before they decided to marry though obstacles where put in place of a treacherous mission to escort three princesses to a village to get them to marry a prince. On their way, they had a huge fall out over responsibility and following your heart as Mulan could tell the princesses wanted to find their own loves. It was daunting, but in the end after many tears, everything went almost perfectly, especially as Shang and Mulan finally married.
ambitions:
Her main ambition is to inspire others to be themselves. Be who you want to be without conforming to stereotypes is the main message she tries to tell all the young girls she meets. She feels it's never too late to show your true colours and just go by the flow. Other ambition is to settle down and just be happy, something which she feels she has pretty much completed.
strengths && abilities:
Her strengths include her quick thinking mind, her ability to run fast, her courage and utter determination and her now improved fighting skills.
flaws:
Her flaws are her utter disregard for being graceful as she is far too clumsy, her outspoken attitude, her stubborn attitude, her strive to do everything on her own and her inability to working under pressure.
likes: Mulan likes training, mediating, playing with her dog, plain rice and spending time with Shang, when he's in a good mood only.
dislikes:Mulan dislikes being disregarded for being a female, like they are not the same as men. Though finally she has somewhat cracked that. She also dislikes being told off and being told what to do. She likes things to be her way. She also dislikes injustice and moody people.
fears: She doesn't have that many fears except for falling into her old self, being under confident and just feeling useless because she can't do anything. She also fears for Shang sometimes, not that she'll said it to his face.
what makes this character unique: what make Mulan unique from most people is her strong will and the sense to give up. She isn't afraid to show that she is not like most girls her age in ancient China. Being a tomboy puts her apart from the stereotype of the pretty girls who all want to marry someone and do blissfully nothing. She wants to prove herself which is what makes her unique.
RP SAMPLE:
Kairi swept back a stray auburn hair that flew into her face. It was a nice day on the island, perfect almost. She was sitting on the tree near the ocean, just dreaming. What of, she wasn't sure, just normal thoughts like what she was having for dinner and school. And of course her friends. Her friends meant everything to her. She missed them so much when they went away, especially Sora. Sora was special, mainly because he was the true wielder of the keyblade but it wasn't just that, he was the sweetest boy you could ever imagine. She didn't want to lose, not again. It was torture knowing that he was big danger and she could do nothing. But not anymore, she was going to stay by both of her friend’s sides all the time.
She carefully watched the sky as a couple of clouds floated past. One shaped like a flower, the other a small dog. She gazed up at the sky for a little while but quickly got restless. She was wondering where Sora and Riku were and what they were up to this fine day. She was hanging around with them the other day. They were fun to be around, always joking and being all competitive. Today it was nice to just be herself and relax in the warm rays of the island sun. Plus it was not always fun hanging around boys; she was a girl after all and liked to have some female company. There was Selphie for that, but she was forever busy. Right now, this girl was happy sitting alone and having some peace and quiet. She carefully relaxed while fiddling with her pockets on her light pink dress. Kairi was quite a quiet girl but she was rather bubbly when you got to know her. She was a good girl, sweet, caring and quite smart. She got good grades at school and had never really got into much trouble. She seemed like the perfect young teenage girl which is not always a blessing. She hated being treated like a delicate flower, her friends always left her out of all the action. She was always the damsel in distress, needed to be rescued. She wished she could have been in more of the action. She suddenly remembered that dark time.
She shuddered at that thought. Seeing her beloved island being covered with darkness was awful. All the worlds were in terrible danger of being taken over by the evil Origination XIII and the heartless. She hoped she had seen the last of them. Sora had fought so bravely to get rid of them once and for all. She hoped it would stay that way. She sighed quietly. Soon she was quite bored. She had enough quiet time now. She slightly raised her hand to her head and rested it in both her hands. She winced as the sun shone brightly in her eyes. She jumped off the tree carefully, making sure she didn't fall right down on her face. That would be embarrassing although no one was around to see it. She decided to go for a quick wonder around the island, seeing if there was anything new and exciting happening. But there usually never was. She walked round the island, looking round with her deep blue eyes scanning everything careful. Her shoes made a soft ruffling sound as they moved on the soft yellow sand.
