The birds were singing, the trees were rustling in the light breeze and a butterfly danced across Meg’s vision as she thought about her Love. Hercules. She was missing Him desperately and only wanted to see him, to see if he was alright, to tell him she was OK. Meg was in such sorrow that a steady flow of tears streamed down her face as she walked across a little bridge. She looked over the rails at the small stream and listened to the water as it trickled down the little slice of heaven called The Oasis. Meg wiped the tears off her face and slipped her sandals off her feet, then settled herself on the side of the bridge, dangling her feet in the water. The water was cool and refreshing and helped the girl calm down. She sighed “When will I ever see him again?” She whispered to herself quietly.
A small, sad smile was upon her face when she felt a little fish brush against her foot. It was so quiet and peaceful in the Oasis. If she wasn’t so sad she would be amazed at the beautiful bright greens of the forest, the bird’s sweet song, and the quietness of the place. But she just stared at the flow of water as it swepped around her feet, thinking about Hercules.
…It was 5 years ago; the girl was working for the cruelest villain, when she saw the strongest, most annoying, brave man she ever met. She wouldn’t admit it to herself but she fell in love with him the moment she saw him. She had butterflies in her stomach when she was around him. That puzzled her because she met many a man and none of them made her react this way. Meg eventually married the man after they saved each others lives. She was living her happily ever after she always wanted until that dreaded day she got pulled from her world, and thrown into a completely new one…
Tears started streaming down the Greek girls face once more, which quickly turned into sobs. There was something about this place that let her emotions take over. She felt safe here, like she didn’t have to hide anything. The only thing the girl needed was someone to hold her, someone to care.
As her sobs died down, she heard a rustle in the trees that didn’t match the noise the wind was making. It didn’t sound threatening, so she quickly dried her tears with her hands and tried to calm down before the person, or thing noticed her.
