It'd been thanks to a friendly, perhaps slightly eccentric, Latin rooster named Panchito that Prince James was able to recover his beloved horse, Astor. When the boy had been whisked away to this strange place, of which he now knew to be called Disney World, so had his steed. Unfortunately, neither had ended up in the same place and it took the greatest effort from both of them to find each other again. Now together once again, James vowed to Astor that he'd never be parted from her again.
Mounted on her back, the boy and his steed went along silently, gaining the attention of the many tourists around them. James was forced to stop every so often and lean down to sign autographs, as well as pose for pictures. He still didn't understand either, but it made the children and their parents happy, and that was all he cared for. After a couple hours of riding through various venues in the nearly unbearable heat, James looked up to see a sign that said the area was called Disney's Animal Kingdom. What sort of kingdom was it? Was it a kingdom ruled by animals?
As the prince continued on, he noticed various enclosures containing animals of every kind, many of which he'd only seen in manuscripts and heard about in stories. Perhaps this place was some sort of zoo, like the one at the Tower of London he'd seen on a visit to England. James would've stayed to look on with the other guests, but he knew that he needed to find his way out of the place. It'd also occurred to him that if he and Astor were there, then perhaps Snow White and the dwarfs were also. James hoped that this were true, if only because he could once again be reunited with his beloved wife.
He and Astor unexpectedly came upon one of the most magnificent sights they'd ever laid eyes upon. It was a tree, the tallest they'd ever seen, the incredibly large trunk covered in the images of animals. James directed the horse towards it, gazing up at it with awe. They made it to the trunk shortly afterward, where the teenager dismounted and brought himself to climb onto one of the roots and sit down. The wood felt strange under his fingers, as if it weren't real. ”How strange,”[/i][/color] James thought to himself.
Astor knew to stay put, allowing her rider to almost play a balancing act as he walked along the trunk and sat himself against the trunk. Aside from the already mentioned heat, it was a lovely spot with a lovely view. It gave James time to sit back and think. He brought a knee up and rested his arm on it as he closed his eyes and began to think. For some reason, a question a fellow named Captain Hook had asked him came forward in his mind. He'd asked him if he'd any loved ones back home, perhaps a father.
The boy had never known his parents, his father having died in battle before his birth and his mother dying in childbirth. Snow White too was an orphan, but at lease she'd some memory of her own father. The question had been uncomfortable then, so now was no different. Why was it bothering him so? More importantly, why now of all times?
