Introduce yourself.[/ul]
character basics.[/ul]
Age: 25.
Species: Human - superhuman powers.
Birthplace: Go City, USA.
Movie: Kim Possible TV series / Kim Possible: So The Drama, Kim Possible: a Sitch In Time.
Title: Woohoo. Extra hoo. Happy?
Why: What's not to love about her? Shego’s always been a big favourite of mine ever since the show originally aired! Snippy, sarcastic and with a super cool character design to boot, I’ve always found her to be a really fun villain with great possibilities. Her attitude can be hilarious and she's got just the right mixture of morals to make her a formidable villain or useful (if often unwilling) ally, so that flexibility will be great fun to work with in a rp situation.

Character appearance (try to get at least 2 or 3 sentences for each section)[/ul]
There is always an exception to the rule, and Shego takes a pride in being just that: thick, jet black and reaching well down past her back in an impressive, wavy cascade, the woman's long and fastidiously maintained hair is a defining feature and part of her trademark appearance. She might be a mercenary - and a darn good one at that - but heck, it doesn’t mean she can’t look her best when doing the job.
N.B: During her time as Supreme One in ‘the future’, Shego was depicted with a broad white streak intersecting her hair, starting roughly at her temples.
Facial description/mood expressions: You want mood? Shego’s got it in spades. Most often seen with a scowl, sneer or condescending smirk upon her darkly painted lips - black to contrast sharply with her pale skin - it doesn’t take much to set off this unpredictable woman, so you’d better watch out when that snarl becomes a growl and her teeth bare in anger - it is often a precursor to a lunging attack.
Everything about her is angular: with a sharp jawline, delicately pointed nose and wicked, slanted eyes of intense green set beneath thin, expressive eyebrows, there is nothing soft about Shego’s facial structure.
Her incredibly pale skin tends to carry an almost unhealthy greenish pallor as a direct result of the superpowers she gained as a child. On the whole, she radiates a pugnacious attitude carefully crafted to both intrigue and intimidate, and despite how often she mocks the typical women of her generation, is just as careful about maintaining her appearance as anyone - if not more so.
Clothing style: For the most part, Shego can be found in her custom-created costume specially tailored to match her preferred colour scheme and abilities, a signature design which still mimics the costumes worn by her superhero brothers (though of course she would vehemently deny that it means anything sentimental, gee).
A complexly-patterned bodysuit of intersecting black and green, the jagged, asymmetrical colours and shapes mirror her own sharp attitude whilst the ensemble is further augmented with wickedly clawed gloves, a broad, green utility belt and a small green holster buckled around her left calf, whist tall, flat-heeled boots finish the look.
Shego is, at heart, a fashion conscious young woman - insulting her outfit will always provoke an extreme reaction, especially from little princess Kimmy - and so when not dressed for work, she will select clothing which compliments her body shape and gives her an excuse to use some of her hard-earned cash, splashing out on designer labels. Unlike her boss, she’s happy to pay retail every once in a while, especially when that money wasn’t hers to begin with anyway.
Body build: Slender but with definite curves, she is an athletic young woman with the well-toned build of a gymnast. Most often seen standing with her weight concentrated on one hip, she maintains a light-footed stance just as attributed to her lifetime of thievery and acrobatics as it is to her constant habit of picking fights and leaping at whoever happens to have insulted her.
Any unique traits: In combination, most of her appearance tends to mark her as 'unique' enough: people frequently comment on her striking appearance. In open defiance of the usual saboteur's habit of remaining as anonymous as possible, she is confident enough in her own abilities that she doesn't much care if she she is identified as the criminal during a mission: they still have to catch her, after all.

Original character analysis. (Everything must be in your own words! Please be thorough.)[/ul]
With a short fuse and tendency to wear her heart on her sleeve as far as temper is concerned, she is an impulsive and often hasty person, confrontational in the extreme and never able to resist a challenge or let a slight against her remain unpunished. When she applies herself to a task she doesn’t do a halfhearted job, and nowhere can it be more obviously seen than in her all-out fighting style: while no single move is wasted, there is a ferocity and aggression in the attacks where she throws all of her force into each swift strike - devastating when it hits, embarrassing when taken advantage of.
Beneath the snark and sarcasm however, Shego is surprisingly reasonable for someone who has worked so hard to earn a reputation like hers. Without the same kind of embittered drive that makes most villains so intent on their mission, she doesn’t crave world domination to prove the world wrong or (yeah right) avenge a family member, and so is content to take a back seat in most proceedings, only getting angry when she feels like her skills are taken for granted - especially when she an always walk out on or kick the butt of her boss.
With a college degree in hand and most of her time spent idly picking apart the plans of said boss, Shego is by no means slow in contrast with what many assume for a supervillain’s henchman. In fact, if it was not for her own apathetic feelings towards the effort required to architect these grand plans, (and her not-so-secret enjoyment of watching Drakken’s amusing failures) she could strike out on her own successfully enough.
Though proud, common sense and self-preservation will often win out in the end and if she sees a profit in joining the winning team, she will gladly jump ships - whether that means heaving a sigh and teaming up with a former enemy or changing employer to someone who pays better. Fond of verbal sparring and witty banter with her opponents (especially Kim) it isn’t unknown for the two to find some sort of common ground, whether about certain fashions or the difficulty of finding a parking spot in a big city.
Her strained family relationships - all of whom she has for the most part cut off altogether - have become something of a sore point for Shego, who wants nothing more than to disassociate herself from her superhero past altogether. This has led to the already short-tempered sidekick being much cagier about everything, from her past to her personality. With her trust difficult to earn and her patience as short as it is, any sign of affection is short-lived (if ever displayed at all) and then vehemently denied or scoffed at. She prides herself on her sharp and aggressive outer shell and is stubborn in revealing a softer side.
It does exist though: she’s only human at the end of the day, and nobody is truly heartless or infallible. For all the times she can be delighted to inflict cruelty on others, she has shown levels of morality above those of Drakken (showing disapproval at the idea of hijacking a child’s technologically advanced wheelchair) and disapproves of animal cruelty - perhaps a hesitation to harm those who can’t fight back. She can be amiable enough when spoken to, but prefers people to keep their noses out of her business and not assume she’s their friend by any means. A girl’s gotta keep her image, after all.
History:Born the third child and only girl to a large family situated in the bustling metropolis of Go City, it was always somewhat difficult for The little girl to fit in, often feeling like the odd one out amongst her family, let alone in the schoolyard. Her early years were fairly unremarkable, and wWith four bickering brothers and an overworked father often away from home, the little girl soon came to the decision that the guys weren’t to be relied upon. Learning from her mother that if she wanted something, she had to go and get it herself, this self-sufficient attitsintering toy became the foundation for the short tempered attitude that the villainess possesses today.
Cranky, independent and often prone to solving her problems in a physical manner (getting sent home from school multiple times for fighting - and not always just with the students in her class) it was one summer day that her and her brothers were out in the backyard, playing in the treehouse their father had built, when in her brother's own words 'fate came a'knockin, and she knocked hard'. While busy trying to knock the snot out of her self-absorbed older brother for reading her diary, egged on by the youngest and ignoring the warnings of the eldest, nobody noticed or had time to avoid the rainbow-hued comet that came hurtling from nowhere, colliding with the children's play area in a stunning explosion.
She didn't remember any of it until waking up in hospital amidst stunned doctors and nurses unable to comprehend how the five youngsters had managed to survive the impact with little more than a few scratches and bruises after being knocked unconscious. It was about a week later, back home with her family, that the powers began to manifest themselves: each child, took on a newfound superpower and distinctive coloured glow whenever the power was put to use. For the only girl, this meant a virulent green aura that allowed the manipulation and projection of fire-like plasma.
With such gifts now bestowed upon them, the family quickly agreed to put their powers to use and decided to use them for the greater good. Over the coming years, the five youngsters trained intensively, combining their powers to create a deadly and effective super team capable of defending the massive sprawl that was their home. Their popularity snowballed as swiftly as their skills did, and soon enough the family were renowned protectors of Go City. Taking up the superhero moniker of Shego to match her kin, the green and black-clad youngster flew through her education, even so far as to graduate from college with a degree dring the time it took for their newest home, the aptly named Go Tower, to be built.
Unfortunately this period of calm was short lived. Between the lot of them, there were just too many aggravating qualities for her to stand: it became increasingly apparent in the Tower and on missions that the short-tempered Shego was going to snap. Between Hego's by the book Clark Kent approach to fighting villains, Mego's intolerable self obsession and narcisissim and the twin Wego's peppy hyperactivity, she often found herself at loggerheads with the rest of the team, often finding herself criticising the lot of them and finding the villains they fought to be so much more intelligent and, most importantly, rich.
Eventually it just didn't make sense any more to Shego to keep playing for the good guys, enduring her stupid brothers and their ways for no physical profit. With the benefits far outweighing the costs in her opinion, one final argument between the five resulted in her quitting the team for good, leaving the brothers to disband Team Go as she left the city altogether, cutting herself off from her previous life to start afresh.
It took a little while to get into the right circles, signing up for the right kind of Villain's magazines and asking around to find someone looking to take on a henchman. Eventually her searches led to several potential employers, but only one seemed to. Be offering the kind of high-rate pay check she was looking for: some guy called Doctor Drakken with aspirations to conquer the world (gee, how original). After their initial meeting (and a pretty intensive interview including fighting her way through several traps just to reach to door), she met and negotiated a longstanding contract with the blue-skinned scientist, finding him a bumbling weirdo, but an amusing one nevertheless. He paid well, too, so she wasn't about to complain and set to work as his sidekick of sorts right away.
Between them the pair made a promising start to their evil partnership: between Drakken's scientific knowledge and connections and Shego's competence in infiltration and combat, they managed to become notorious in the criminal circuits, the green thief earning herself sworn arrest warrants in eleven countries as a result of their various misdeeds.
The bubble burst soon enough though, with the advent of highschool princess and all around do-gooder Kim Possible. Ever since she arrived on the scene to put paid to the plans of villains everywhere, Shego has struggled to think of any number of heists or schemes where the athletic redhead hasn't showed up to defeat them in style. From mysterious ray guns to cookie recipes; time travel plans to giant robots; ice lairs to underwater hideouts, every subsequent scheme (not always under the employ of Drakken - she has been known to work as a mercenary for others if the price is right or Drakken has been obnoxious) has been in some way, shape or form always defeated by the super keen teen. It aggravates Shego to no end, but she must admit she enjoys the rivalry of a frequent nemesis and entertains the hope of one day thrashing the perfect little girl once and for all.
Ambitions:
-To finally defeat Kim Possible, proving once and for all who is the best.
-To gain enough wealth and power from Drakken’s schemes that she can live in excessive comfort undisturbed.
-To never need to have anything to do with her lousy brothers ever again.
-To finally get a little respect from the villains at a job well done despite her sidekick status. Is that too much to ask? seriously?
Strengths & abilities:
-Superpowers After being struck by the rainbow-coloured comet as a child, Shego has developed the ability to produce virulent green plasma energy, channeled from her hands. This plasma energy burns far hotter than fire, able to melt metal doors with ease, and can be fired in a projectile-like manner or linger on her hands for deadly close combat. The power and extent of the plasma’s use appears to only be limited by Shego’s own energy levels and creativity.
-Skilled at infiltration, espionage and sabotage, alongside proficiency with hand-to-hand combat and acrobatic gymnastics.
-Technological knowledge, able to fly aircraft and operate various machinery.
-Shego is by no means a slow thinker, often providing the voice of intelligent reason when Dr Drakken’s plans begin to become ridiculous.
-Tenacious, independent and a strong woman, she refuses to be belittled by anyone.
-In spite of her attitude, can be a good negotiator.
Flaws:
-Obstinate and stubborn, it can be difficult to change Shego’s mind once she is set on something.
-Selfish.
-Materialistic.
-Vain.
-Sarcastic, biting and undermining of her boss.
-Temperamental and quick to anger or take offense.
-When fired up by her short temper will fling herself head-on at a problem, often without thinking through the consequences first - most often why many of the fights with Kim result in a loss.
-In spite of all this, can be incredibly apathetic about performing her ‘villain’s sidekick’ duties, often questioning the need to step in or fight Kim on behalf of her boss.
-Believing herself to be inherently evil, has battered down her sense of morals and empathy in order to achieve her goals.
-While perfectly open about her outrage or disapproval, finds communicating any positive or affectionate emotions difficult and so can be seen as closed.
-Remains just as stubbornly introverted about her real life, refusing to discuss her past.
Likes:
-The rare few successes that get achieved.
-Kim Possible suffering.
-The colour green, whether it’s in clothing or piles of bank notes.
-Some alone time - peace and quiet from the yapping idiots who call themselves supervillains.
-Being spoiled, pampered or having her ego boosted.
-The finer things that money can buy: spa trips, waterskiing, flash cars...and of course the things that she can go grab for herself, such as diamonds or priceless antiques.
-Designer label clothing.
-Intelligent conversation.
-Letting off steam with exercise, whether in combat or training.
-Baiting Dr D, especially when his mom visits - its as much a sport as anything else, considering how easy he makes it.
-Dr Drakken’s company - but I wouldn’t advise getting her to admit that.
Dislikes:
-Kim Possible or any one of her dweeby gang.
-Highschoolers. Eugh.
-Any one of her brothers, who drive her crazy.
-Long periods of time cooped up indoors.
-Dr Drakken’s psycho dog, Commodore Puddles.
-Chauvinist idiots who don’t believe a woman can be independent.
-Spoiled brats and girly-girls who can’t stick up for themselves.
-Karaoke night with Drakken.
-Slow learners.
-People prying into her private life or trying to ‘connect’ with her.
-Soap operas.
-Being cloned - she’s specifically added a ‘no cloning’ clause to her contracts.
-Just about every one of Drakken's schemes.
-Being left ignorant of any one of Drakken’s plans - or being shown as ignorant of anything.
Fears:
-Though she’d never admit it, Shego’s not terribly fond of the idea of death or lifelong incarceration.
-Zorpox’ wrath - for a dweeby kid, he can be downright terrifying when he wants to be.
-When people start asking too many questions about her personal life and begin to learn too much.
-Her superhero past catching up with her and weakening the villain that she is today.
-Having to spend any extended amount of time in public with Dr D. Seriously, he can be so embarrassing.
What makes this character unique: I'd have to go with the sheer complexity of character that she offers for being a sidekick. Over the series, Shego has developed a really unique and interesting depth of character, whereby her moral conflicts, family relationships and interactions with the other characters have been explored in a way which really makes her unpredictable and truly stand-out from so many purely good/evil characters. I love these grey-area neutral types, and Shego really embodies that spirit!
RP SAMPLE:
Ugh, this was pathetic. Glowering from over the top of her soda (not her usual preferred beverage, but in this humidity? as if she was gonna get herself a coffee) as she stood in one of the few unoccupied shady spots, a brief respite from the Floridian heat afforded by the large toy store wall against which she rest her back.
What was it they called this place - Tomorrowland or something equally geeky? - some wacko’s version of the future that looked more dated than cutting-edge, stuffed to the gills with chrome and concrete with designs and faux technology which felt almost laughable for someone forced to spend so much time around scientific equipment.
Still, for all of her snark, the place wasn’t so bad at the end of the day, and was certainly an improvement on the embarrassment that was Frontierland and their ‘entertainers’ (mental note to self - grab one of those maps and avoid every. Single. Show). Sheesh, you’d think a simple no would put them off, but it pretty much took the moody young woman to threaten to knock the stupid head off of one of those characters until they got the message that she wasn’t interested in having a rootin’ tootin’ grand time at the hoedown. She was just thankful that nobody she knew was in the area at the time - that would have been humiliating.
Speaking of which....Sly eyes darted across the crowded space quickly as Shego sipped her drink, quietly scanning the myriad flow of brightly dressed strangers for someone - anyone - she might recognize in the milling crowds. Oh well this was just great - dumped off in the most aggravating place on earth and there wasn’t even Drakken to blame for it. Sharp teeth grit, unconsciously biting her straw flat, though her expression remained impassive save for a challenging sneer at some kid who couldn’t stop staring at her costume. How many brats could this park even handle at once? well, whatever it was, it was that number too many for her to stand.
”Oh, if this is another one of your experiments gone wrong, Dr. D...” she hissed under her breath, ignoring the sidelong glance she received from a woman with a pram nearby as she muttered to herself, “I’m going to kick your butt right down Mainstreet.”
