Another place, another time-
The Annual Sun Festival was in full swing. Villagers laughed and mingled, most wearing sun masks and bright yellow ponchos. Kids swung merrily at a sun shaped piñata rushing forward eagerly when its contents spilled out to the ground. The leader of these people, the Great Emperor Kuzco, sat among the festivities. Royal Guards with their bodies painted red and blue standing watch on either side of him.
Kuzco didn’t pay much heed to the guards, they were always around as was their duty. His attention was focused on the group of children before him, they appeared to be no more than 5 or 6 years of age. They were the last act of the festival talent show and were doing their best rendition of an ancient sun dance.
Kuzco looked away from the kids, down past his side to the stuffed toy tucked into the back corner of his seat. “What do you think Wompy should we give the kids first place?” The Emperor asked the odd looking toy reaching his hand down using a finger to nod Wompys head up and down. “Would you like to do a sun dance?” Again he nodded the toys head yes. A smile of amusement crept onto the Emperors face but the smile faltered when Wompy actually began to dance. Well maybe more like tremble. Kuzco lifted his hand eyes curiously falling onto the arm of the chair as that also began to tremble.
The people paused in their celebrations when a rumble broke through the air. The ground beneath them began to shake, the sun above growing brighter and brighter. Kuzco rose from his seat trying to keep his balance on the shaking ground, an arm raised to shield his eyes from the suns growing glare. “GAURDS…” Kuzco was about to shout an order but a sharp jolt in the earth sent him falling backward. The young Emperor braced himself, ready to be caught but instead he kept falling as if the ground had vanished beneath him. Kuzco tried to open his eyes only to be blinded by a searing bright light.

A new place, a new time-
The fall came to a jarring stop when Kuzco finally hit solid ground. “Okay Ow!” Kuzco exclaimed sitting up he adjusted his crown blinking his eyes several time as the world came back into focus. “What the.” He found himself sitting among the green plush vegetation of the jungle only something seemed…off.
Kuzco stood dusting off his red robes making sure to get every speck of dirt. How in the world did he land here? “Guards!” His voice rang through the thick underbrush. “Guards!” He yelled a bit louder but there was no answer. “Okay this is definitely not cool! Someone is going to have some serious explaining to do!”
He looked around trying to decide which way to go. Taking a deep breath he made his decision, pushing a large fern aside as he passed by. “Okay Kuzco no need to panic you’ve been in the jungle before. Just need to find your way back to the village, make sure everyones okay, and...” He paused, a look of almost horror crossing his face as a large odd looking tree caught his eye.
Up there hanging precariously on one of the branches was. “Wompy!” Kuzco rushed to the base of the tree he reached an arm up and jumped but it was a feeble attempt, Wompy was far too high. “Stupid tree!.” Kuzco exclaimed giving the tree a sharp kick and immediately regretting the decision. “Owie! Again!” Kuzco grabbed hold of his foot for a moment before stomping it down in irritation. Could this get any worse!?
