It was semi-rare of Harris or Hubert to accuse Hamish of not knowing what he was doing or not be completely behind a plan of their brother's...and they had held their tongues for most of the trek out here, thankfully still having Miss Elsa's snow dogs who more thankfully didn't melt easy, or seemed able to regenerate themselves in heat. Still, even if they weren't exactly walking it was a long trek. Finally, Hubert spoke up.
"Are ye sure..."
"Yes!", Hamish turned to shoot back, "They sa'd biggest cat ever! Bigger'n...that otha' un".
There was silence and the three glanced about them as they continued on.
"An' what 'er we gonna' exac'ly du tu it", Harris next asked.
Hamish's scoff said they would decided the trivial matter of ride or kill it when they found themselves one of these lions. Bigger than the panther, it had been carelessly described to them and instantly putting the mission in Hamish's head. All this time here and how had they not found a large cat like that such as they just had to due to the proud legacy they held as King Fergus' sons?!
All three had a hunch their dogs didn't know where they were actually going, or they would have turned back (and maybe some like Harris took comfort in this and thought maybe the dogs wouldn't actually let them hit actual trouble...maybe). The three snow dogs were not their father's wolfhounds, but they would do and in fact the triplets were rather fond of them at this point.
Off a sound, Hamish lifted a hand to still his brothers before Harris went on to ask something else as he just knew he went to do off that unspoken bond. Then...
Forget cats, that was an interesting rider! And...
"Merida!", Hubert gasped, not to where their sister could hear and partly to himself. Instantly the three were after, to aid the chase or catch their sister they were unsure but they were at the perfect spot, it seemed, to sort of get ahead of the rider and semi-cut him off yet they hadn't fully got within his path (good thing) before he...flew! All out flew!! Shortly but still! None of the boys said magic or wisps...yet they did hault and watch.
