Their suggestion seemed to work, a little too well. Hook not only believed and took to their idea of Elsa perhaps being queen (and the boys were pretty sure they had that right) but even started leading the way. An easy mistake, and one many adults often made and especially with the young princes, but this had been the three's idea and knowledge given in the first place (Hubert and Harris always got the benefit of anything Hamish said as if they themselves had also said it and vise versa, the three having excellent sibling relations or such as worked for them and feelings never being hurt by any arguments) and they would continue to hold the upper hand in it!
Thought of flaunting their own princely statues didn't occur to them, or not in the way as would be helpful.
Thankfully Scrooge was quick to argue Hook's taking charge for the boys, but not for the same reason.
Wherever Norway was, they thought they were just going to the kind lady's house, even the varying cultural areas being too small for the lads to truly think of them as the entire world per say.
Then Scrooge was off!
Forget that, both for the reason of direction and (more importantly!) Scrooge might let them lead, the boys quickly made up their minds and darted after the duck.
"Nah, we'll come wif Ye!", Hamish declared.
"An' we knew it wa' this way!", Harris assured, though thankfully neither of the boys had to prove it.
"Yea! An' since we ca' walk fasta' we do tha'!", Hubert lead the dart down the pathway...of course then the lads did have to pause just to let Scrooge catch up, not because they didn't know the way, which they still did. Completely.
Then, just making conversation, and as the duck caught up. "Our Ma's a queen tu!", Harris informed, "Bu' she's back hume".

"Now hold on there a moment, cap'n, cannae ye see that we're going the long way around to Norway?"

"Yer free to go that way with the cap'n, lads, but it'll be a long walk!"
